I don’t think I need to explain here my love of farms, autumn, pumpkins, day trips – if you read this, you know me, and you what these things mean to me.
The annual trip to the pumpkin patch is always a highlight of my year. We were so happy to be coming back again with Abbey and her family to Jubilee Farms. Elliott and Abbey loved running through the fields, the hayride, the apple cider, and spending the day together. Nora really, really wanted to crawl through the fields. She’s at the stage where the baby carriers no longer keep her calm for long – she wants to chase after the big kids! I let her out as I could, including to sit in her first big pile of fall leaves. Elliott and Abbey decided she should be covered with leaves. She was a good sport for a few minutes, but let them know she was done with that game shortly after!
I thought a lot about our trip last year, when Nora was about 2 weeks from her arrival. It was such a special time, thinking about our girl coming any day. How wonderful it was to return. This year we were happily all together, healthy and growing and sharing a perfect fall day.
